About Me

So this is the page where I’m supposed to “Wow!” you with the ever so exciting story about me. Maybe I could tell you that I was once an elephant wrangler in India… or that I taught that River Monsters guy how to fish. Maybe I’m the mother of that guy in the Dos Equis commercials. You know the guy: “The Most Interesting Man In The World.” Maybe I’m the one that gave Gibbs all those rules.

I know, I could tell you I’m the one that first told Herman Melville about this big, frickin white whale or maybe… just maybe, I gave Edgar Allen that damned raven for his 35th birthday.

Or, I could tell you that I wear any number of hats. Mom, wife, chihuahua herder and “Queen Of All I Survey.” I am an avowed book hoarder though I don’t think there’s a psychological diagnosis for that condition – yet. I spend so much time writing that I’ve decided that my Mactop is more like an additional appendage and my fingerprints are almost completely worn off. But mainly, I’m here because I’ve decided to follow my heart and write and, to make sure I feel like I’m the best writer I can be, I’ve gone back to school.

Yep, I know. I already have a Bachelors and a Masters but I wasn’t following my heart. Now I’m taking classes with kids that graduated high school with my daughter. I’m inviting you to follow along while I tell the world about what it is like to go back to college again. I’ll probably complain about feeling old in a world of young students but I will also be sharing a lot of what I learn along the way and maybe a few of my adventures along the way.

So, nice to meet you! Welcome to my life! Don’t forget to leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you guys!
